Many thanks to the exhibitors who brought some lovely hounds for me to judge.
Junior: (2) 1st Woolf’s Greyflax Oopsie Daisy. 13 month pale grey bitch. Nice head and expression. Good shoulder angulation and return of upper arm. Good deep chest, good length and strong, powerful quarters which earned her first place over the puppy in this junior class. A little fidgety, she was clearly enjoying her first time in the ring, but movement was true when she did finally settle. 2nd Spring-Arnold’s Gentiehun Alice Springs, BP
Post Graduate: (1) 1st Spring-Arnold’s Sorisdale MacManus. Nicely balanced male with typical head and faraway expression. Good lay of shoulder and good depth of chest. Reasonable spring of rib. Arch rising nicely over the loin into a good fallaway. Kept his topline on the move. Movement easy and free though would have preferred more width behind on going away.
Open: (4, 1) 1st Bond’s Stainlonan Bellis at Regalflight. Exceptional bitch in outline with a lovely, proud head and expression set off by a dark eye. Strong neck moving into an excellent lay of shoulder. Good deep chest and strong front with correct return of upper arm leading into strong flat bone. Good spring of ring and lovely curve in the topline rising correctly over the loin which she held well on the move. Hind quarters wide, strong, well muscled and fit for purpose. Excellent bend of stifle and great length from hip to well let down hock. On the move her powerful quarters came into their own. She had excellent drive matched by the reach. Would love to see her running free. BoB and Gp3. 2nd Girling’s Pyefleet Qwilliam. 3rd Woolf’s Greyflax Oopsie Daisy
